Inserting a correction into a track

I do voice recordings & occasionally botch something.

It is easy to delete the mistake - But how do I insert a correction?

Do you have access to the original environment/studio, microphone, and computer or recorder? Anybody can patch a mistake by matching up words or phrases, but if your patch has a slight echo and your original doesn’t, that may be the end of the world.

There’s one other note. I know how tempting it is to re-record that one bad word, drop it in, and go make lunch, but as you can tell by the extended instructions in the manual, it’s just not that easy to get it to sound right.

There’s one thing you can try. Record the whole corrected sentence. That might be a lot easier to match the original performance. Even better, listen to the original performance playback and your live performance mixed in your headphones. This is Overdubbing Mode.
