Increasing WAV file recorded volume

I have acquired a audio CD, used Audacity to convert to a WAV file, now how can I make a direct copy with increased volume? Any help will be appreciated.

Try the Amplify or Normalize effect - and then export the project as a WAV file.

But if it’s perceived or pseudo loudness you’re after then you need the Compressor effect.
