I’m getting this error when I try to open an mp3 file on Audacity: “Import failed. This is likely caused by a malformed MP3.”

I’m able to play this mp3 file on the Windows Media Player.
This particular error doesn’t seem to be listed in the manual. Where can I get information, if possible, on what the specific cause is?
