I can’t get sound from AT2020 mics through XLR-to-USB cords or through a USB mixer - I’ve tried everything…

I followed all the steps on this: https://wiki.audacityteam.org/wiki/Mac_and_USB_input_devices#setup and still can’t get sound.

Devices are recognized by Mac and by Audacity, but neither shows any sound from mics when tested… someone PLEASE HELP!!

What are the “XLR-to-USB cords”?
What is the USB mixer?

We can’t see you, so we have to build your system in our heads to have any chance of fixing it. Part or model numbers are good because we can look up anything you list to see how it’s supposed to work.

That can also give us a clue if you’re trying to use something that we know may never work.
