i just bought a new acer laptop and a tascam 144 interface with mic and at school i have the same equipment but we have a mac and i know how to use it but when i change in the input and output i did it the same way at school but it didnt work, it might have somthing to do with my computer because of the built in mic i dont knw, if any one can help that would be swag
Use Audacity 1.3.14 (available here: http://audacityteam.org/download/ )
Connect the Tascam before you launch Audacity.
Connect your headphones to the Tascam.
Set the recording and playback devices to the USB option using the Device Toolbar
it sees all the devices but still no sound out of the headphones and i still cant get my mic to work
i guess im just going to wait till school starts back up and get help from my teacher
