I’ve searched through the forum convos and can’t find anything relevant so reaching out here. I’ve created my project in Audacity but when I try to save the project or download nothing happens. The only window that opens when I try to save the project is a warning that reads “'Save Project” is for an Audacity Project, not an audio file. For an audio file that will open in other apps, use ‘Export’.
Then I click File, Export, Export as MP3 or Export as WAV nothing happens. There are no popups or prompts to create a file name or location. I’d appreciate any help you can offer!
I’m using Audacity version 3.1.3 and MacOS Monterey 12.1.
When that message appears, click “OK” (optionally with the “Don’t show again” checkbox ticked so that the message does not appear next time you save a project).
Then, in the file browser window that appears, select the name and location for the project file.
Then click the Save button.
Maybe Audacity does not have permission to write to disk. Check your computer’s Privacy/security settings.
