I have tried recording through a few harmonies on a guitar using a usb cable and when ever I go to record a harmony to my original recording it slowly becomes more and more out of time. I have tried using a metronome but it still is out of synch. I am using windows 10

To be clear, the second track matches at the beginning but not the end, right? There’s a condition where neither one matches and that’s a setting.

Can also be caused by the computer being busy and isn’t listening for say ~1/1000th of a second when you record.
That can happen repeatedly, all the tiny skipped bits add-up, so by the end of of a recording it can be noticeably out-of-sync.
