I am out of option to remove a the cut noise of a song

Hello,
I am using Audacity 3.7.3 to cut a song for a dance competition.
I had to remove 30 sec from the song, at the middle but I still have a cut between the 2 pieces I put back together.
I tried fade in, fade out but not better.
I tried to zoom to cut more precisely without success
Does someone has a magic trick to share?
Thank you!

Creating A Crossfade

Try to match the beats and you can make a very-short crossfade of a few milliseconds, or longer like a second or more for whatever sounds best. I’d probably start with about 1/4 second (or about the time for one beat). It will probably take some trial-and-error.

You may want to start by making two files for the 1st & 2nd part (with some extra where they will overlap). ā€œImportā€ (don’t ā€œopenā€) the 2nd file and drag it to the right.

Thank you DVDdoug!
This is what drives me crazy, bcz i inserted a ā€˜silence’ between the 2 pieces, added fade out ā€˜automated’ and by hand (by decreasing the volume? not sure it’s validated the music editing church :D).
I’ll try the overlap option right away!

yuhu! I managed! thx!
