My copy of Audacity was installed in my Documents folder rather than in the Program Files folder. I now want to uninstall it. I cannot use the ‘uninstall a programme’ feature in Windows Control Panel, because it does not list Audacity. Is it safe simply to delete Audacity’s files? I’m worried it might leave traces in the registry that could cause trouble in the future. Thanks for any advice you can give.
Which version of Audacity?
Version 2.0.0 (Unicode) using Windows 7
Just delete it.
There will be a few little bits left behind, but they shouldn’t cause any problems if you want to re-install later and they won’t affect any other programs.
You might D/L the free REVO UNINSTALLER and do the uninstall with that
