Is going to RECENTS the only way to access AUP files ?
How many files will RECENTS hold ?
Is there a way to delete individual tracks from RECENTS ?
No, File > Open works a treat too
See:
Or you can use drag&drop - dragging the AUP file onto the audacity.exe or Audacity shortcut icon (you can’t drag&drop ans AUP onto an open project).

Probably haven’t made myself clear, I can’t seem to place a AUP file anywhere. When I save it and close project I can’t find it in any place but recent. If I try file> open the files are blank. wasn’t like that 2 days ago. Have no idea what changed. But thanks you.
Resent isn’t a “place”, it’s a link.
Try searching your hard drive for *.AUP3 (or the exact file name if you know it).
When you save a project the first time, you get to name it as well browse to a destination folder. All subsequent saves will overwrite the *.aup file. No offense intended, but it seems you are not familiar with your file manager that is essential to any computer use. Windows’ Explorer is an excellent file manager. I created a directory (folder) named Audio, in which I add a subfolder every time I create a new project. Placing a shortcut in Task Manager gives me quick access my audio projects.
Thank you. No offense taken. You are probably correct in your assessment of my computer skills and the problem is most likely user error. The frustrating thing for me is that up until recently I’ve been a functional idiot able to make things work, but now what worked in the past doesn’t. In all likelihood I probably changed a computer setting causing the problem. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction.
I Just use one folder all the aup’s go there they don’t Overwrite
