How to remove sibilance distortion from a recording of a 60's 45rpm vinyl record

I have recorded a song on Audacity from a record from 1967 called “The Last Waltz” by Engelbert Humperdinck. Because of the age of the record, it’s giving out some sibilance and some kind of distortion when there are parts that get loud.
Is there something that I can do to get rid of that kind of distortion without losing the quality of the music?

Many thanks.

Distortion is almost impossible to fix but you can try a de-essing plug-in.

Or… You can buy the MP3 from Amazon. It may also be available as an iTunes download, or you can buy the CD.

P.S.
45’s almost always had worse quality than the album.

Maybe you need to apply RIAA de-emphasis equalization
