How to negate default noise

Hi, using 22.04. Is there any method to record without me saying anything for say 10 seconds and submit it as a subtraction so that when I record this default noise is not active or is filtered? Thanks.

Audacity’s noise-reduction does that, (but not in real-time).

The “noise profile” is when you were recording but not speaking.

Thanks, there is a lot of noise that comes with my laptop mic. I thought there will be some way to take it out and talk.

On Mac & PC real-time noise-reduction is possible. But I don’t know about Linux.
