How to make the voices less metallic [newbie]

The voices in the recording I wish to edit sound “metallic”. I hope I can improve them a bit. Here is a short fragment.

How can I make them sound a bit more clear in Audacity? Thank you very much in advance.

There’s no filter, patch, or correction for that.

— You can write the words down and get the performer to re-read them in a quiet, echo-free room.

— You can copy the words down and get an AI voice to read them.

— You can copy the words down and get a completely different performer to read them in a quiet echo-free room.

Thank you, @kozikowski.

The audio is from a video, but not by actors, performers, or anything like that. My plan was to improve the audio file a bit and then add it to the video in a different program. It’s not possible for me to use the three options you suggested.

Even if I can’t remove the metallic voice effect using Audacity, is there a way I can reduce it, even if it’s just a little bit?

Not that I know of. It’s pretty badly distorted and the sound channel is overloaded (red stripes).
