Hello everyone,
I’m having trouble with Audacity crashing frequently on my Intel Evo laptop, and I’m hoping to get some advice on how to resolve this issue. Here are the specifics:
11th generation Intel® Core™ processor
Operating System: Window 11
Audacity Version: 2.3
Issue Description: Whenever I try to record or edit audio in Audacity, the program crashes in my intel evo laptop unexpectedly. This issue occurs both during recording and while processing audio files. I’ve tried reinstalling Audacity and updating my drivers, but the problem persists.
Troubleshooting Steps Taken:
Reinstalled Audacity: Uninstalled and reinstalled the latest version of Audacity.
Updated Drivers: Ensured all audio and graphics drivers are up to date.
Checked for Software Conflicts: Disabled unnecessary background applications.
Verified System Requirements: Confirmed that my laptop meets the system requirements for Audacity.
Questions:
Has anyone else experienced similar crashes on an Intel Evo laptop? If so, how did you resolve it?
Are there specific settings in Audacity or Windows that could be causing these crashes?
Do you recommend any additional tools or diagnostics to further identify the issue?
I’d appreciate any help or advice you can offer. Thanks in advance!
Best regards,
Danielle Morris
