HOW TO EXPORT (if possible) INTO AUP FORMAT

Hi, is that possible after splitting a big audio file into several parts to export the single parts into Audacity format and not in WAW or MP3?
My intention is to process the single file aup AFTER and then convet to WAW/MP3
I could not find this possibility when saving

Thank you in advance
Stefano

Audacity 2.0.6 Win 7 64-bit

You would have to File > New, copy and paste a selection into the new window, then save that new window as a project.

Thank you Gale.
I have just found out that in Export Selection it also appears in the Options “Others uncompressed file” and you may select AU (Sun/Next)
Is it also all right? I assume it should be since, if I am not wrong, AU was implemented by Sun

Ihave seen Audacity is looking for Italian translation of Tutotrials. How does it work?

It depends what you are trying to do. You said you wanted AUP format, which is the Audacity Project format that only Audacity will open.

AU files will not be playable in all players. You can import the AU file into a new Audacity project if you find that more convenient than copying an audio selection, opening a new project window then pasting the selection into the new window.

We’re looking for translators of Audacity Manual. Please see: http://manual.audacityteam.org/man/Help:Translating.

Thanks,

IMO - It’s generally better to create separate WAV files before creating separate AUP projects.
