Hi all, I have a music file which I downloaded from spotify and its written specs on AIMP music player is:
WAV :: 4 8 kHz, 1536 kbps, 47,44 MB
now I want to cut this file and to save a piece of it but in exact original specs. so what to do for that. please could you tell step by step, and if possible with supporting screenshots… thanks in advance.
For uncompressed files, the bitrate and file size are determined by the sample rate, bit depth, and number of channels… The bitrate is: 16 x 48k x 2 channels = 1635kbps.
And there are 8-bits in a byte so file size is (16/8) x 48K x 2 channels = 182kB per second.
You say: “if you import, edit, and export a file, the sample rate (48kHz) should remain the same.” in order to do so what to do?
You say: “You choose the bit depth (16-bit) when you choose the export format.” Always we do so?
there are two dither section. do we have to set both to None?
I didn’t get the technical explanation. Can you tell step by step again please for preserving the original file quality when we import and export a music file? Imagine there is a file let it be as I mentioned above. What would you do for cutting it and preserving its quality at the same time. thanks.
