I’m running Audacity 2.0.0 on Windows 7 Home Premium. I have a long MP3 file of a scientific conference (spoken word, no music). I want to split it into two-minute files, export the files and burn it onto a CD without gaps. Can I do the splitting automatically, i.e. without having to click in the file every two minutes, click “Add label at selection,” click “Export Multiple” and name each segment? I don’t need to name the files; sequential numbering will do. Thank you.
Use “Analyze > Regular Interval Labels” to create the labels, then "Export Multiple.
