How to access a particular point on a CDR

As an example, if I wish to go to a particular song on a professionally recorded CD I can do so.
Now. I have recorded a series of my poems on Audacity. Is it possible for me to go to a particular poem without having to go through the preceding ones from the beginning? I guess that if the facility exists then it has to be done on Audacity before recording to disc.

Yes, you just create a label at the start of each poem and then use Export Multiple

I would label as: 01 , 02 , 03 etc to keep them in order

This Tutorial in the Audacity Manual explains the steps (and more):

Correct. You have to find the beginnings in Audacity and mark them for use in searching later.

Audacity doesn’t burn anything. You have to pile the files into your own authoring and burning software. The “authoring” part of that usually lets you re-arrange and scramble the songs (poems) as you wish. I believe if you just leave it alone, the songs will arrange themselves as they were in Audacity.

The clue that you have the right type of CD (there are several) is the offer to set the silence space between songs. Only the Audio CD format allows that.

Thank you Koz and WC. I think I can sort that out.
