i once had a deleted filter curve i used and now i want to get it back, how do i restore it? i use Audacity 2.4.2
How did you delete it? If you removed it from the Audacity file system, then that’s the end of the world. If you used Add/Remove plugins, then open that system, select it, and add it back to your normal plugin list.
Do you regularly do system-wide Windows backups? If you do, step back Windows to an earlier date and rescue the plugin that way.
I have an installer backup folder where I keep all my downloads rather than throwing them all away.
And if everything else fails, I keep an internet browser listing of where all my plugins came from.
If you don’t do any of those things, then you’re stuck. Post a message on the forum looking for your plugin and see if anybody else knows where it is.

i didnt mean plugins, i meant the preferences inside filter curve plugin
Audacity will open Filter Curve to the last used curve. If you changed the curve or picked a factory preset, then that’s the one it will memorize.
Filter Curve is not part of the UNDO system (that I know of). Did you Manage (lower left) > Save Preset, or Manage > Export?
If not, it’s all over. Someone will correct me, but I think you’re stuck.
There is a desperation method. If you did a screen grab of the curve, you can work backwards from the picture to recreate the effect. For example, that’s the low rolloff filter for audiobook mastering. It’s only, like, 7 points, so it would be easy to recreate.
What did your curve do? There might be a pre-baked curve that can be made to work.

Basically i made the curve to fix the problem of the realtek speaker recording having too much treble and not enough Bass. Tho i made another version of the curve, however its not as good as the original one
I think you’re stuck. Someone else pay post.
Once you move control points without saving anything, that’s it.
Since you’re managing a free-form monitor problem, have you tried Effect > Bass and Treble?

If I recall correctly, the shipped plug-ins can be restored by running the Audacity 2.4.2 installer again.
