How do I record stereo

I’m getting a stereo mix over speakers and set Audacity to “what you hear” but it only records mono. How do I record stereo?

Edit > Preferences > Devices > Recording > Channels, 2.

You may need to restart Audacity. When you change services like that, it doesn’t always reset globally.
