I RECORDED A MIX AND COMPRESSED IT EXPORTED IT THEN SAVED IT. THE COMPRESSION MESSED UP THE MIX AND I CANT SEEM TO RETRIEVE THE PRE COMPRESSED MIX? CAN ANYONE HELP ME BEFORE I RE-RECORD THE MIX AGAIN? I USE AUDACITY 2.1.2 MAC OS 9!

If you used the original filename instead of making a new file and then closed Audacity, you’re stuck. Even if you saved a Project, Audacity Projects do not save UNDO.
Compression is one of the effects you can’t reverse.
Export a WAV (Microsoft) of the original live performance and put that in a safe place (thumb drive, special folder). Then beat up a copy.
