Hello,
I need help with Audacity. When I record files shorter than an hour then everything is fine. As soon as I record for around an hour when I go back to edit the audio I find that the first 10 minutes are missing. I’ve recorded for an hour or more before and didn’t have problems…why is this all of a sudden happening?
I have the latest version of audacity.
Windows 10
I record with one other program open (Game Capture HD) for the Elgato Hd60
My PC specs:
Intel Core i7-6700K CPU @ 4.00GHz
RAM: 16GB
System type: 64-bit OS
Would greatly appreciate any help anyone can give.
What are the standards for the recording? 44100, 16-bit Stereo?
So if you record for 61 minutes, the recording is only 51 minutes long? What does it sound like at the cut point? It just picks up in the middle of a word cold, or is there some noise at that point? Do you just get a ten minute flat line in front of the show?

Audacity does not Play Well With Others. Does it still do that if you make an Audacity recording without the game and Game Capture HD?

What are all three numbers from Help > About Audacity… ? Only our site http://audacityteam.org/download/ is guaranteed to have the latest version (which is 2.1.2 right now).
How much recording time does Audacity say you have in the Status Bar at the bottom before you start recording?
