When clicking the horizontal scrollbar sometimes it jumps to more than one screen. This happens both for backward and forward direction and sometimes even when clicking the scrollbar only once. I thought it was the mouse but the behavior remains even when another mouse was used. Workaround is to click the horizontal scroll arrow but this slows down the process. Please let me know if there’s a new Audacity setting (or a new Windows setting, etc) that I need to disable so that the Audacity scrollbar will revert to the previous behavior. Thanks in advance from a newbie
Thank you @vincent9874 for the useful suggestions. My computer is old so I followed your suggestion to reinstall. Versions 3.5.1 and 3.5.0 both have the unwanted behavior but 3.4.2 does not have the unwanted scroll bar behavior. I will stick with 3.4.2 because I suspect the unwanted scroll bar user interface behavior is triggered by something in my older PC that’s absent in newer PC.
I see the same problem on Windows 10. Thanks to this problem description and workaround, I dropped back to 3.4.2 and the problem does not occur there.
