Hooking up a Roland AC-40 to a computer running Audacity.

I have a Roland AC-40 which puts out a mono feed into a standard 1/4 inch cable. I need to hook that into something (no clue what) that puts out a USB feed so I can plug into my computer. I am using Audacity freeware to record MP3’s.

I used to have a Mackie which put out standard RCA which I fed through a Behringer U-CONTROL which has a USB output. That worked find but I’m selling the Mackie so I need to re-equip.

Any advice or consul would be most appreciated.

Don’t sell the Behringer UCA202. That’s how you’re going to get your guitar cabinet into your computer. The Behringer is not part of the Mackie. It’s part of your computer.

You need to round up enough cables and adapters to get from the 1/4" socket on the amplifier to the Left and Right RCA connections of the Behringer.

1/4" Male mono to RCA Female are pretty common.

Then it’s an RCA Y cable to make stereo.

And then simple RCA to RCA cable to get into the Behringer.
