hiccups

I am new to recording. I have a Blue Yeti and I’m using (and am VERY green at it) Audacity.
When recording, when I take a quick break/breath and start back up, the recoding hiccups and misses the initial consonant when my voice comes back in. It didn’t do this when I first started but has been for the last 20+ times. Did I hit a button somewhere on the screen that has the voice activation awry or do I have a faulty microphone? (I don’t hear anything wrong in the headphones while recording, but the playback hiccups.) Thanks in advance for any (explicit) feedback as to how to navigate the screen if I need to alter anything.)

Check to make sure that Sound Activated Recording is not on.
