Help with nyquist plug-in install prob please?

Hi, can someone help? I’m having problems registering nyquist plug-ins in Audacity 3.1.3 on the Mac. My system is Mojave 10.14.6.
The main plug-in I can’t load is Psuedostereo and I downloaded the ny file from plugins.audacity team.org.

I put it in the library folder/application support/audacity/Plug-ins. I tried to load it from Audacity’s Nyquist Plug-in installer. It seemed to load, but when I went to enable it from Add/Remove Plug-ins, I got error messages. It failed to register because it said “ill-formed Nyquist plug-in header," and, when I checked the error log, it said “no matching architecture in universal wrapper.”

What am I doing wrong?

Thank you!!!

Do you mean “Pseudostereo.ny” from this page: https://plugins.audacityteam.org/nyquist-plugins/effect-plugins/amplify-mix-and-pan-effects

That one works for me.

The best way to ensure that a Nyquist plug-in is installed to the correct place is to use the “Nyquist Plug-in Installer”. See: https://manual.audacityteam.org/man/nyquist_plug_in_installer.html

Very strange, because the plug-in header is OK. Perhaps your version is corrupt.
If you attach your version to your reply, I’ll take a look at it. (See: https://forum.audacityteam.org/t/how-to-attach-files-to-forum-posts/24026/1)

Which version of Audacity are you using? (Look in “Audacity menu > About Audacity”)

Thanks for your reply! Let me download again and try it. I’ll be back in a few mins. I am using the very latest version of Audacity—3.1.3—which I downloaded yesterday. I’m sure I’m doing something wrong.
BTW, I love Audacity and have been using it for many years, thank you!

Thanks so much!!! Yes, it must have been a corrupted file or the way I installed it. Instead of putting it in the library, I let it download to the download folder this time (I downloaded from the same exact link) and used the nyquist installer to place it. I was able to enable and I’m able to use it.
Thank you and sorry to bother you!

No problem. Glad it’s working now
