Help to Find and Install 64-bit FFmpeg

Hi

I have Audacity 3.0.4 (64-bit). I need to be able to read .DSF files, which I could do on the previous 32-bit release by installing FFmpeg (v2.2.3). I am unable to find a compatible 64-bit version of FFmpeg. All the links I try are either no longer operational or point to a 32-bit version. Can anyone assist with a download location for a compatible, 64-bit FFmpeg? The online instructions all seem to assume that you already have the download available.

TIA

The download is here.

The actual downloaded file is named FFmpeg_v2.2.2_for_Audacity_on_Windows_64bit.exe, which is different from the name of the link.

Thank you for that.

The linked file installs into Audacity correctly BUT it does not allow the opening/conversion of .DSF DSD files. I understand that FFmpeg v 2.2.3 and above is required to do this. Do you have a link for a more recent version?

Thanks again.

Not yet, but it’s on the developer’s “to do” list.

If VLC will play the file, then a workaround is to use VLC to convert the .DSF DSD files to WAV.
(or another free app you could try is Foobar2000)

Excellent.

Many thanks.
