Help? - no wav pattern at all

Hi all.
I have used Audacity fine for years, but suddenly I had no WAVE pattern. I uninstalled, and downloaded V 2.03.
but all I get when I open a song or record off YouTube, say, is red lines vertically up and down. No blue wave pattern at all.

I am baffled.

To the left here the boxes wit x, 44100 HZm, solo/mute should be… it is blank, just white space

Please could you post a screen shot so that we can see what you mean.

Thanks for the repy. I’m good now. Once I reobotted my PC and reloaded Audacity, the issue resolved itself. Ihave the proper wave pattern now.
