Hi, this is my first post i am having a problem with windows each time a try to transfer my vinyl L.P.'s using Audacity, i keep getting code 43 unknown USB devices. Can,some one help, its doing my head in 
Code 43 indicates a “driver problem” but beyond that it is pretty vague.
An easy temporary fix that often works is to totally shut down the computer and unplug the power - if it is a laptop, remove the battery.
Disconnect all USB devices.
Leave the computer powered down for 1 minute.
Restart the computer - wait for it to fully boot up.
Plug in necessary USB devices one at a time and wait for Windows to install them before plugging in the next one.
Do not use a USB hub.
If the problem recurs frequently you will need to work out which USB device is causing the problem and check that the drivers are up to date. If the problem persists after that you may need to update the motherboard BIOS.
