Hi Folks,
I have a problem.
I have a mac OS 10.6.8 and aam new to audacity.
I recently recorded an interview over skype and it worked great.
Now I wanted to transcribe the interview and listen to it again and found that the audacity files are not one from the interview,
but many many many sound clips- probably hundreds of sound clips.
Does someone know why this happened?
And what can I do to merge these files into one so that I can use the material on it?
Am thankful for any help!

Were you able to play it back right after you recorded it?
Audacity doesn’t save sound files. It saves Projects which is what all those thousands of tiny files are. Double click on the AUP file and it should launch Audacity automatically and give you your show back.
If you want a real, stand-alone sound file later, you need to File > Export.
Let us know where you get stuck.
