Changed computers, Saved Audacity .aup files and now can’t open them on new computer. audacity 2.4.2 GNU/LINUX 
The .aup file is only one part of the project; there should be a folder around with a similar name like the .aup file. Both are needed to open the project.
Audacity 3.x (latest version is 3.5.1) combines the project file and the folder in one single file with the extension .aup3
