Hi all. I’m ripping my hair out. When editing in Audacity (but happens in Camtasia too) there will be a click and then I loose audio. This is random but usually after applying an Effect or Generating silence. It can also happen with repositioning the play head. If I save the project, I have differing odds of audio coming back. If I use Ctrl-S it’s 50/50, if I navigate the menus 80-90%. My IT office says they can’t help me until I can replicate the behaviour, and that is the pain. I can’t! It’s like taking your car to a mechanic and that annoying sound disappears.
Other details: I am using a Bose headset with the 3.5mm plug. No Bluetooth as I get too much lag. I have also used a Logitec USB headset with boom mic and get the same behaviour. Anyone have any ideas? It’s got to be hardware or windows, but wondered if any of you had run into this.
