it plays perfectly fine inside audacity, when its exported its now a very low quality with popping occurring frequently. its the same quality as it is open in audacity as it is exported, both are mono, 44100hz 32 bit float, im exporting as a 32 bit wav file. the original recording is from an iphone but its quality is good when open on audacity as long as it is set to direct sound or WASAPI please help me.
What are you playing the exported file with?
The original file is probably not 32-bit WAV. Audacity automatically converts most file formats to 32-bit float on import. 32-bit float is good for high quality processing, but a lot of players either don’t support it at all, or have problems with 32-bit WAV files.
To check the format of the original file, use this page: MediaInfoOnline - MediaInfo in your browser
Try exporting from Audacity as a normal 16-bit WAV and see if that is any better.
If you want to play the audio on your iphone, you will probably get best performance by converting the WAV to AAC with iTunes, then copy the AAC version to your iphone.
