An unusual thing just started happening. Every so often, seemingly random, when I go to edit- highlight a section- instead of highlighting the section I want, I get a short section that is highlighted, and instead of highlighting what I want the whole track moves left or right with the mouse. I can no longer highlight what I want. I have found that I can export what I am working on as a WAV file, restart Audacity, import the piece and it is fine. But it happens randomly, and I am trying to figure out if it’s something I am doing or a glitch in the program. Any thoughts? (Thought about videoing when it happens, and if it comes to that I will, but figured I would start this way) Thanks for the input.
What version of Audacity are you running? That sounds like a bug that was reported in 3.7.6 that was fixed in 3.7.7.

Said 3.7.7 was installed, but when I open Audacity it is still 3.7.6. And I get the MuseHub thing as well- do I need MuseHub to use Audacity now? I have the update installed but still coming up as 3.7.6. Older guy here, not completely computer illiterate, but I am sure I am missing something. Thanks for the help.
You may have both programs installed and you are using a shortcut to the older one to open it.
