I just want to clear up something: Fre(a)koscope (a harmonic analyser) DOES work in Audacity. There’s an archived thread here incorrectly stating it doesn’t(which led me unnecessarily to look at other options), when in fact it does.
Just go into your Fre(a)koscope folder, copy Freakoscope.dll to your Audacity “Plugins folder”. Then go into Audacity UI > Effect > Add/Remove Plugins > Enable Freakoscope. Then launch it (Effect > Freakoscope).
I’ll try SPAN. What I’m mostly interested in are the partials of single instrument samples: the frequencies, amplitudes and widths of the harmonic partials, in order to reproduce instruments on an analog synth. I’m looking for something that will show a clear indication of the partials - any plugin that does this?
There’s a plugin called DtBlkFx which will take-out the harmonics, (via “AutoHarmMask”),
leaving partials, transients & noise. The plugin has before-after spectrograms built-in …
