Filter Curve Fails to apply

I’m currently on Macbook “El Capitan” 10.11.6 and Audacity 2.3.3. version
Does ANYBODY know why Filter Curve fails to apply on to the track you’re working on? It’s highlighted> Solo, etc, went back forth (???)
I’ve even tried several different settings but it keeps giving out the same “Walkie Talkie” preset and ABSOLUTELY NOTHING works.
Not even the Factory Default.
VERY annoying!

Anybody share some love, PLEASE???

Thanks a lot my Audacity peepsters!

The last curve looks like the telephone filter and that 's supposed to sound like a walkie-talkie.

I’m much more interested in why your selected track looks nothing like voice or music. What’s the job?

Click the “Flatten” button then draw a curve and apply it. Did that work?

We’re both working with the idea you have a performance of some sort. You don’t, do you? That timeline looks nothing like a musical instrument or voice.

What’s the show? Are we trying to rescue a damaged performance? Listening to a voice through a wall? Is this a pre-baked series of effects and filters gone wrong?
