File get exported as unsupported file type

When I try to export a file to mp3 it gets exported as an unsupported file type ‘file’. I use Windows 7.

You need to download and install the optional [u]LAME MP3 Encoder[/u].

Also, don’t use the dot character (period / full stop) in the file name.
