Hi, I’m new to this forum although I’ve been using audacity on and off for year.
I’ve just updated my version to 2.3.3 and I was attempting to download some bird song from my mobile phone.
The file is a .m4a, recorded off a Samsung Galaxy s9+.
When I try and load it in Audacity I get an error, saying I need to install ffmpeg-win-2.2.2.exe.
I’ve read the notes and deleted the the appropriate files, started Audacity, deleted more files and then started Audacity, in other word followed the instruction as best I can.
I still can’t get Audacity to load my .m4a file.
Is there some rabbit hole I’ve fallen down? I’m obviously doing something wrong … is here anything else I can try?
Cheers
Ian
The EXE is the installation file and all you should have to do is double-click the EXE file to install it.
