Running macOS 10.13.6 on Intel i7 Mac and Audacity 3.2.3. I need to load FFmpeg in order to save audio in m4a format. I attempt to do this by downloading and executing FFmpeg_5.0.0_for_Audacity_on_macOS.pkg. This appears to work and ends with the message “The Installation was successful” and “The software was installed.” But neither Audacity nor I (using Finder) can find any trace of the required library on my hard drive. Something else must be required to make this work. Help please.
FFmpeg should be installed to /Library/Application Support/audacity/libs.
