FFMPEG downloaded but still having issues

FFMPEG made no difference

Downloaded FFMPEG and it was recognized, as far as I can tell I’ve got the latest version of audacity and FFMPEG, but still the same error appears when I try to drag an MP4 file into audacity. I’m not sure what to do as the internet all over has no answer to fixing this from what I can find.

I should also mention that in diagnostics it says avformat-60 and avformat-61 failed to load (they weren’t even in the file it was trying to drag them from), once I grabbed those files online as a last ditch effort and put them in the folder, it now says there was an error after opening it with libopus,

Error: Importer::Import: Opening failed.

Could someone help me out?

Go to Edit → Preferences → Libraries to see if Audacity is seeing it.

You should see:
“FFmpeg library Version F(69.16.100),C(59.18.100),U(57.17.100)”
