I’m working on Windows 7 Audacity ver 2.0.5. My usb interface is a M-Audio Fast Track Ultra. Up until now I’ve been using inputs 1/2 to record beats. These inputs work fine with audacity even with an xlr to 1/4 jack. I just got an xlrm-xlrf mic and I can see that the interface is responding to it and I can hear it but audacity does not recognize any sound. Any help is appreciated.

What? Whats the difference? What were you using to record the “beats”?
Audacity doesn’t know what you’ve plugged-into your interface… Are you using diferent inputs? You do know you can plug an XLR connector into ports 1& 2, right?
