Failing when trying to export to MP3

Hi guys
new to the forum!
recently did a harddrive reboot and upgraded to new audacity from an older version which we have been using for years.
We recorded a podcats on the old version and mixed it all down…then I had a harddrive go kabooom.
came to export the AUP file and now it won’t let me export to MP3 format. when I run it I have it set to constant bit rate at 192 and it starts to process. Says it will take 4 minutes and the bar slowly turns green then after about 30 seconds it just disappears off the screen.
any ideas?

I did add a new bit of audio with different mics using the new version of audacity…could that be it?

Which version of Audacity do you have? (Look in “Help menu > About Audacity”)

Where are you trying to export to?

What happens if you try to export as a WAV file and give it the name “test.wav”?

we recorded with Audacity 2.2.1 but had to change to 2.3.2 when mixing due to a computer failing!

Trying to export MP3 to c:\podcast then we just have the episode name

“What happens if you try to export as a WAV file and give it the name “test.wav”?”
