Extracting "name" from multiple mp3s.

It would be nice to be able to have all the “name” information from multiple audio files listed in some kind of document. I do my radio show with audacity (import multiple mp3s and sequence them) and it would be so convenient to not have to copy and paste every song name as I go. Can this be done? Thanks.

The search term is Edit Metadata.

But I don’t think it’s going to do what you want.

Audacity has an Auto Batch tool called Chains.

This would require Audacity to store metadata tags per track, not just from the last imported file as now. This isn’t easy to make intuitive given you could duplicate tracks or move audio selections between tracks, but if you want you could request this and we would count your “vote”.

Or in your case would it be enough if there was a list of metadata in files that had been imported, even though the project only contained metadata for the last imported file?

Can you do it from iTunes by selecting all of the MP3 then: “iTunes>File>Print” ?
