External mike not working [SOLVED]

I was trying to figure out how to re-record a section of audio file I had created and I must have done something because now my mike won’t record.

We still need which microphone, part numbers, how is it connected, etc?

Before I contacted you I tried restarting audacity, which didn’t fix it. While I was waiting for you last post I tried restarting the computer. That cleared what ever the problem was, thank you for your time.
