External microphone problem

When recording with the PC’s internal microphone, it works and records well.
When I try it with an external microphone tonor tc30, it records very low and the sound is distorted. The microphone is connected directly to the PC via USB and the operating system is windows11.
Can anyone help me?
Thank you

If the microphone doesn’t have a recording volume knob, low levels might be normal.

USB mics are often designed with low gain because digital levels have a limit and loud sounds can cause clipping (overload distortion).

USB mics have a recording level control and good USB audio interfaces (used with “pro” analog mics) have level controls.

I have no idea about the distortion but make sure Windows “enhancements” are turned OFF. They can cause all kinds of weird problems.
