I would like to export a visual representation of my recording and labels. For clarity of what I want, I know I could hit the Play button and use, for example, my phone to video the playback (I have music tracks with lyrics in Labels tracks). I would like something that people (me included) can use as prompts for lyrics. Suggestions?
Audacity is audio-only.
With a video editor you can add subtitles, and usually you and have a still-image background.
Some player software supports lyrics. The best thing might be to research if your player app supports lyrics.
I have a plug-in called MiniLyrics that works with many different players. It uses .LRC files for synchronized lyrics or the lyrics can be embedded in the files as metadata. I use it with Winamp (on Windows).
The official MiniLyrics website (www.crintsoft.com) is down at the moment by you can find it other places on the Internet.
Thanks for the suggestion, Doug, but your solution doesn’t fit for me. I have multi-part waveforms for several vocal lines, each with their own lyric lines. I was hoping to be able to have a “video” that follows the music, showing the waveforms and each singer can follow their own lyric line. As I said, I can always play the piece and use my phone/tablet to record it - I use Audacity on a W11 laptop - so, I can do that, I was just hoping for something slicker (and less prone to external noise etc).
If you’re using Windows, the screen recorder might be your solution.
Thanks for the suggestion, Bucky - I have been using OBS, I should have said. Just a bit concerned that the extra load on the machine distorts the output. It’s fine for most of the things I’m doing. Once again, thanks.
