Exporting to ffmpeg

I don’t see FFMpeg as an option when I go to export audio. All I see is audio.com, I just need to convert into MP3 or MP4a. Any help/

This is a guess… Go to Edit → Preferences → Cloud and there are 3 options:

  • Always ask
  • Always save to cloud
  • Always save to computer

Then, Edit → Preferences ->Modules and make sure everything is enabled.

What version of Audacity?

You don’t need anything special for MP3 but you’ll need FFmpeg for MP4. It will show-up as:
M4A (AAC) Files (FFmpeg)
