Exporting in Audacity gets lot of disturbances

Hello Friends,
I recorded and mixed my daughters vocal on audacity. When I play it in audacity, I see the voice is clear. But when I export it in wav or mp3, i see there is lot of distance or it loses quality. I tried to export in MP3, Wave. I tried 16 bit, 32 bit. After the Export i try playing it on apple music (default app on my mac), i see it has lost all the quality. I haven’t been able to figure this out for quite some time. What am i missing?

All mp3s are not created equal: there is a quality setting.
The WAV format should maintain original quality provided the Audacity project rate is 44100Hz.

Like echo or reverberation?

And this is the same Mac that’s running Audacity?

I’m a Windows guy but maybe it’s a setting in Apple Music.

WAV should be “perfect” at 16-bits or better with one possible exception… Run the Amplify or Normalize effect before exporting to make sure you’re not clipping (distortion for being too loud). Audacity won’t clip internally so you may not notice that it’s “too loud” if you’re not playing it at “full digital volume”. But regular (integer) WAV files are hard-limited to 0dB and they will clip if you “try” to go over.

P.S.
One more thing that might be a clue… Re-open the file in Audacity and play it to if it still sounds OK in Audacity or if was somehow “damaged” when exporting.
