Exporting files with larger than 48 kHz sampling rate

Greetings, I am running 2.0.5 on Mac OS X 10.7.5. I have imported a 100 kHz sampling rate WAV file and conducted some edits and effects, but to my surprise the program export feature only seems to allow a max sampling rate of 48 kHz for WAV or AIFF files. I did try to scan the forums on this issue–any links/comments/advice?

Set the “Project Rate” (lower left corner of the main Audacity window) to the sample rate that you require before you export.

Also if you import the 100000 Hz file with no other audio tracks present, it should change the project rate to 100000 Hz if it is not already set to that rate.
