I’ve been using Audacity solidly for 8 months
Having no trouble
Today I am trying to export to MP3 follow all the usual steps, get to the progress bar and with 5 seconds left it stops. no error message, but no mp3 file is created. I’ve tried mp3, .wav, I’ve tried building new folders to save to, I’ve checked and each of the tracks is mono and 41000HZ , same as my setting in the bottom left corner.
Any ideas?
Which version of Audacity are you using? (look in “Help menu > About Audacity”).
How long is the project ?
Where are you exporting to, and what name are you using for the exported file?
I wonder also if the original project is damaged in some way. Are you able to zip or otherwise duplicate the project file and all of its subfolders ?
